This popular ring style where different shapes were inserted into the hollowed rectangle on top and the surrounding space oxidised to provide stark black contrast to the inserted piece/s of shaped silver. This androgynous style was popular with both men and women. 

The ring measures about 10mm wide at the widest part and the band tapers down to 5.5mm wide at the base.
